If we ever go back, we will be taking a portable radio to have with us outside rather than relying on our vehicle’s radio. So we sat inside the truck and the sound was better there but we were but still disappointed as our kids could not see the screen from the back seat. We had our truck’s volume turned up all the way and still couldn’t understand what they were saying from our truck bed. The sound quality at screen 3 was great for all the ads but deteriorated pretty badly when the trailers and then movie started. The playground is a bit disappointing as it looks to be for toddlers only. I had never been to this drive in before but have been wanting to go for a long time. We went to see the new Bill & Ted movie (which I don’t recommend: not as funny as the others). Going to this drive-in is like taking a step back in time, & The place is appropriately named in view of the isolated & disappearing breed of the urban coyote. Despite my resignation to these facts, it is still a thrill to find at least one good drive-in movie in a city that I love: the Coyote on Fort Worth. Standard, metal cars with chrome, & drive-in movies!standard, all metal cars with chrome, & drive-in movies! I realize how trivial this list may seem, & I know that we will never see our currency backed by the gold standard again, that plastic cars are here to stay, & that drive-in movies don't make enough money to justify the use of valuable land. Sstandard, metal cars, & drive-in movies. Suggest comfortable dress during the summer, & recommend that October is the best month for all-around good weather. Give this site a visit, especially now that the weather is beginning to cool down. Prices are fair, & the money helps to keep the drive-in succeed. Good selection of draft beer & wine! Quality of menu items is as good or better than many fast food stops. The food served the concession stand includes burgers, hot dogs with chili variations, & pizza. A trip to this attraction with four screens, showing double features, with a great concession stand is well worth the 8 $$ per adult & discounts for children. With those nostalgic images in mind, let us hope that the Coyote Drive-in in Fort Worth remains open & successful for a long time to come. The drive-in movie experience peaked in the 1950's & 1960's, which time the estimated number of successfully operating drive-in's is a reported 4000! That period of time also corresponded with the emergence of the "car culture," including the dominance of General Motors & Ford. It is one of the estimated 350 drive-ins still in operation across the nation. I satisfy this regression into the past by going to the Coyote Drive-In. When I allow myself to be sentimental, I wander back to the 20th Century, & I think about some of the things that I miss the most: the gold standard, metal cars with chrome, & drive-in movies.
